Spiritan advocacy through VIVAT and other Civil Society networks comprise multi-faceted initiatives for the common good.

Our presence and advocacy in New York, Geneva and the recently concluded World Social Forum in Tunis, deepen our contribution in the critical examination of concepts and processes related to the post 2015 development agenda. Informed by the lived experiences of people on the grassroots, Spiritans and their collaborators in VIVAT create awareness at the grassroots of policies and strategies developed at Inter-governmental forums. Our networks have the capacity to empower people by creating awareness of socio-economic ills that threaten human beings and the planet. We overcome these ills by advancing good policies through national and inter-governmental bodies, such as the UN. The recent report of the UN Secretary General, on achieving the post 2015 development agenda affirms our advocacy for those on the margins of the society.
